As the area began to lighten with the approaching day, the few rays that filtered into the store fell onto the sleeping child. Mumbling in annoyance with the light in her eyes, Dahlia rubbed her eyes sleepily, yawning.
As she slowly came to her senses, she quickly realized two things; She was not in the safe room, and it was not a pillow she was leaning against.
Eyes widening in suprise, she backpeadled away from the Boomer, sputtering.
"I-I'm sorry mister! I-I-I didn't m-mean t-t-t-o use y-you as a pillow!" She covered her head. "Please don't eat me!"
Norman, brought out of his search for a smoke by the noise, strolled over to see what was upsetting his neice now. Jimbo, having passed out from not sleeping for so long, didn't so much as budge.

Her response was for Tiney to let out a loud yawn. The boomer snuggled up closer to Brock while smacking his lips sleepily. Akiko giggled and smiled at Dahlia.
"It's okay," she reassured. "Tiney wouldn't hurt a fly."
"You have to be more tough kid," Dylan spoke, lifting his face to fix a cool gaze on the child, "or you won't make it out there." He lowered his head again. "You can't always rely on Luigi and Rae for everything."
Hunter, roused by the ruckus, shook his head. "Don't mind Dylan. You'll get used to it. I promise." he said before smiling big. "Have you seen Skitters?"
As he spoke, a small head popped out from underneath his hoodie. The red head held out his arm and a second later a ferret scurried its way down it, coming to a halt on the palm of his hand. Hunter placed Skitters gently on the ground and watched in amusement as his pet bounded towards Dahlia. The ferret stopped a few inches away from the auburn-haired child, staring at her through beady black eyes and twitching its nose.

Dahlia blinked several times as she stared back at the ferret. Norman chuckled when he realized the child was trying to have a staring contest with the ferret.
Finally, Dahlia leaned towards the furry thing, petting it all over. "You win Mr. Skitters! I can't outstare you!"
The statement sent Norman into a brief laugh.
Oblivious to her Uncle's amusement, Dahlia continued to play with the ferret, fears gone away.
Jimbo was still sound asleep, the little Jockey occasionally giggling and snorting in his sleep.
"So what are your names?" The auburn child asked, glancing around at the Special Infected gathered around. "How do you know Luigi and Rae?" She paused, thinking of another question to ask. "Are you superheroes?"

Austin couldn't believe the situation he was in, yet the only way he going to live was to be a man and sub-come to wearing a dress. Wait, that didn't sound right, but the world he thought he knew has dusted away into the current madness as it is. Trapped in the closet sized dressing room, Austin submitted to the witch's demand.
He stripped off the blood-stained, puke coated clothes, leaving him only in his boxer briefs. He then slipped on the silk dress. While the scene in itself was embarrassing, he had to admit that the dress actually comfortable and that it was clean. When he zipped the back, he couldn't believe the dress would fit. Next were the shoes. Again, high heels weren't the cadet's preference of footwear. While he was off balanced by the extra height, he couldn't believe that they were actually fitted to his feet. Yet again, he did have small feet, thus he could fit in most women's footwear.
Strangely, he seemed to have some enjoyment with this punishment. While his masculine features made him no Marylin Monroe, the fact that there was some humor to make about it gave him a smile. That, or he was going crazy. Feeling he was making the witch wait too long, Austin decided to reveal the wardrobe he was wearing.

At the world 'superheroes', Akiko and Hunter burst out into laughter. Chris blinked open his one blue eye and yawned, the noise not only waking him up but Tiney and Brock as well.
"No, sweetheart, we're not superheroes." Akiko told Dahlia after getting over her fit of laughter. "And we know Luigi and Rae because-"
"Luigi is my twin brother," Dylan interrupted. He narrowed his eyes at Dahlia. "You don't see the resemblance?"

"Umm..." Truth be told, the child hadn't really stopped to look. She had been distracted by everything else, so noticing that the Hunter was Luigi's twin brother was not on her to do list at the time. But, now that she wasn't fleeing for her life, she decided now was a good time to do so.
She got as close as she dared to go, intently looking over Dylan and noticing the similarities between him and her brother figure almost right away, the only difference between the two was the teeth, eyes, pale color, and the lack of the same warmth that Luigi had. Rather, it just held a very calm, controlled expression.
"Yes... You two do look alike..." She muttered, looking away.

Dylan sniffed rudely, turning away. "As expected." he muttered more to himself than to Dahlia.
"Are we going to leave soon or what?" Hunter piped up, wanting to change the subject. "We know a way out of the city."
Chris nodded in agreement. "We could get you three out of here without those infected from yesterday knowing." he added.
