The sound of a car horn echoed through the air and the screams of infected revaged area as it seemed there were humans in the territory. The lone charger knew what he had to do yet he didn't want to. He questioned why he had to attack the humans; why there was this primial need to kill? Yet, he found it quite enjoyable crushing the bones of these puny men. It was a guilty pleasure for the once peaceful gardener, but he had to do what he had to do.
This is why he perfered to live in solitude; he had no interest in harming man, despite what his new senses tell him. He would rather live the rest of days with no interaction than having his lusty need to kill dominating his life. This is why created his own territory by his shop. Anyone near the perimeter of his home, and they'll get it.
But as the car horn continued to blaze wildly, the more tempted the charger became. Finally, he decided to find where the wracket was coming from and silence it. He saw the car, gathered around it were a bunch of special infected. Angered that a bunch of other specials were in his territory and the fact that they were making all of that noise, the large armed beast charged the vehcile with speed, causing the car to fly towards the group.

Since Luigi was too preoccupied with the horde, he hadn't realized Dahlia was smokered until he glanced down to see the little girl gone. Panicking now, he searched for her desperately, heartbeat quickening with dread when he couldn't find signs of auburn hair amongst the mass of infected.
"Dont ya dare shoot me!"
The teen paused at the sound of a voice before a gush of wind nearly knocked him off his feet. He looked up just in time to see a charger barreling its way through the horde and sending infected after infected flying back. He also noticed Dahlia was right behind the overall-wearing infected and he quickly scooped her up safely in his arms.
"What're you doing?!" Luigi demanded. "Are you crazy? Following a charger?"
~*~*~*
Akiko huffed when the hunter managed to slip away. She turned back to her comrades with an annoyed expression fixated on Dylan and Hunter. The two grew confused at this.
"Why do your kind have to be so frustrating?" she demanded.
Hunter crossed his arms, clearly offended. "Skitters doesn't think I'm annoying." And, as he said that, a small head popped out from underneath his hoodie.
Chris eyed Skitters carefully. "That ferret of yours is still alive?" he asked rudely.
The purple-eyed hunter glared at him and held out his arm so that the ferret could scurry up it and rest on his shoulder. "Duh! A stupid zombie apocalyspe is no match for Skitters. He bad ass as bad ass can be!" he exclaimed.
Dylan, however, was a bit unnerved. He could smell that hunter from earlier, even if the others could not. His head lifted up towards a nearby rooftop and he caught the eye of a smoker with multiple tongues. The black-haired hunter held its gaze, his eyes narrowing.
"Come-" Whatever Dylan was about to say broke off when Tiney suddenly cried out, "Watch out!"
The group of special infected leaped out of the way quickly as a car plummeted past. They each glared at the direction it had come from, finding that a charger was responsible. Chris took a threatening step forward.
"Hey dumbass! Watch where you're throwing that thing!" the blonde called over bravely.

Dahlia was scurrying along after her infected uncle when Luigi caught her, scooping her off of the ground and scolding her.
Are you crazy? Following a charger?"
The child frowned, pointing at the orange wearing Charger. "But it's my Uncle Norman! From the hospital, remember?"
Said infected was brutally beating away the remaining Horde, savagely breaking skulls and bones with his large arm. He guessed that Dahlia had rejoined her companions; good. Safe and out of harms way. This in mind, he continued his attack, bringing the back of his fist into a Jockey's face.
-------
The mute's task complete, it now sought some sort of compliment. And compliment, she would.
"Well done my Hunter. Now we... WHAT!?" Her eye bulged, hacking angrily. "What is that Charger doing?!" Said infected seemed to be aiding the humans. And this was angering her. Quite a bit. To top it off, those other Special infected seemed to be intelligent as well...That Hunter was staring at her, and she stared back.
"Let us finish them off before any of those whelps try to intervene..." That said, the Smoker stalked away from the edge of the rooftop, moving towards the human prey.

Austin was feeling regretful for leaving that group at the Airport. He felt that there was something special about that team. However, he couldn't follow them to Chicago, for not only was it a dumb idea to head to a highly populated city in the mist of a "zombie" invasion, but he knew the truth that he is a "carrier" and Austin has heard enough stories of what CEDA and the military did to carriers. Actually in retrospect, they were all carriers; the survivors showed that they were immune to the virus. It was a shame that Austin didn't warn them, but he had to go on. But where?
The young survivor pondered that as he wondered down the streets on the market plaza. Despite the light amount of infected in the area, he still had to be extra traveling the streets for he was alone again. Thankfully, he found cache of weapons and ammo in a bar: two 1911 Colt.45s, a Glock 18, Model 1887 lever action shotgun, a M79 Grenade Launcher, and a jukebox modified to be like a "pipebomb". With the exception to the two Colts, he carried his new goodies in a roughsack that he slung along his back. It was heavy, but Austin knew he would be using his new hardward shortly as he heard the echo of a car horn.
"Great, what jackass thinks its a great idea to set off a horde," he though as Austin swiftly ran to an abandon clothing store as the choir of the undead sung their death scream. The door was oddly unlocked, so he opened the door and took shelter in the designer store, hoping the infected don't notice. Unfortunantly for him, there is an unwelcomed with him.

"Hey dumbass! Watch where you're throwing that thing!"
Spector turned his attention to the blonde hunter. His disrespect angered the large charger. He slowly walked up to the punk until he was in front of him, towering the hooded beast. He then grabbed the hunter from his collar with his good arm and lifted him in the air. He stared at his face, then snorted in this face.
"Get off my land," he demanded in a deep, dark voice, comparible to Earl James Jones, before dropping the kid on the ground."That includes all of you!"

Chris scowled, but took a fearful step back nonetheless. "Fuckin' touch me. Who the hell do you think you are?" he muttered quietly under his breath.
"Ooo you're so scary you freak of nature!" Akiko hissed scornfully at the charger, flexing her claws. "You want a fight, you can have one!"
Hunter backed her up with a growl of agreement. Brock and Tiney, however, looked as if they disapproved of the witch's sudden eagerness for a brawl. Dylan was still unnerved about the hunter and smoker from earlier. The aggressive charger was not his concern in the latest.
"No, Akiko." he told her firmly, steering her away from the overall-wearing special infected. "Let's not go looking for a fight when we're intruing on his property." The hunter paused and inclined his head to the charger. "I apologize." he said coolly.

"I apologize."
The charger appearcated the hunter's respect. Unlike the smoker who called him a dumbass or the witch pumping for a fight, the hunter wished to seek peace. The charger simply backed down.
"I'm glad you understand," he replied. He then debated on whether or not to apologize for his rash actions. He figured since also actly rude, and the fact he should be a gentleman himself he returned his own apology. "And, I'm also sorry. I'm just...not use to this new body, the chemistry in my body has made me wired to hate. I use to be a peaceful man. The name is Spector...I think. My memory of my past life is quite hazy."

They were on the street below her, unaware of the incoming danger. The Charger was rather preoccupied with the lesser infected, leaving a rather small window of opportunity. But hopefully, it would be plenty. She had several lesser Hunters waiting for her command, just more members of her Horde.
A quick screech and the common infected came to a halt, ceasing their attacking, although they continued to convulse and gnash their teeth.
"Take out the older girl, but remain watchful of the Charger.".. She instructed, moving to the edge of the roof. Another scream, and the Hunters sprang down, attack the Charger, who immediatly cursed and began trying to remove them, quite a task with only one arm.
Mother herself dropped down to the street, glaring at the humans before tieing their legs and tripping them, sending the teens to the ground. Dahlia was left standig, frozen with fear. Gingerly wrapping a tounge around the small child, pulling her towrds herself and lifting her into the air. The boy, she wanted to suffer, wrapping him up good and dragging him along the ground.
Dahlia, however, managed to free her arm, unbeknowst to her mommy. Squirming as best she could, she fished out the pistol, cleverly hidden with Mr. B. Aiming it as best she could, she aimed for the tounge dragging Luigi. However, still learning how to use a gun, coupled with not much physical strength to speak of, she ended up shooting the tougne holding her and bonking herself on the forhead with the gun. And was dropped to the ground, the shot eliciting an angry hiss from the Smoker, who used one of her free tounges like a whip, knocking the gun away and drawing blood from the child's hands.

He heard the stampede of the infected army running down the streets. Though while hidden in a rack of dresses, he wasn't to sure the vail of women's clothing would keep him safe. But as the sounds of the infected died down, he knew his plan of evasion was successful. Still, he wasn't too sure if things were completely cleared. He moved out of his cover, and while doing his best to avoid getting seen, locked and barricaded the door and window, converting the Designer's Store to a temperory safe room. While it wasn't the best of safe rooms, it would have to make due for the time being.
Austin placed his heavy bag of guns on the counter and took a look at the store. With the exception of the moonlight that glared through the cracks of the nearly covered window, the store was dark. It was your typical clothing store: racks upon racks of eleqant female wardrobe, a wall dedicated to the "hottest" of high heels, posters glamoring to several models. Clearly, it was a woman's paradise.
"Ugh, well, not the greatest place to hold up, but it'll do," Austin muttered as pulled out a candy bar. He took a seat next to a maniqune, away from his placed guns. "At least I have company." However, as he peeled the wrapper, he saw a figure coming out the shadows of a dressing room that was accompanied by a dreadful cry.
A witch in a green cooktail dress shuddered towards Austin. Without any efficient weapon, Austin couldn't take kill her, and he couldn't run because the sudden movement might startle her and well make him a bloody pulp. All he could do is just sit still, remain silent, and hope she ignores him. However, the witch was walking towards his direction, getting closer and closer and closer. The witch was now ten feet from him and the survivor knew he was done for. Why was she targeting him?
"The chocolate, of course," thought Austin as he looked now. At three feet, he quickly threw the Hershey bar in front of the witch's feet. The witch kneeled down and started to eat the chocolate, calming the woman down. "This is my chance, just need to seek around and grab the shotgun." But as he got up slowly, the witch finished the bar and turned her attention to Austin.
"Shit" was his final thought as the witch charged him and tackled him to the ground. He was done for as his life flashed before his eyes; the witch was going to slash in a gorge of body parts. He could feel it now; the horrible sharp pain of.....her hug. Austin opened his eyes to see the deadly woman wrapped around him. This was all surreal to him; a witch that didn't want to kill him. But then, this whole virus turning people into freakish monsters is pretty surreal enough as it is. The best he could do is return a hug, at least she didn't want to kill him.

Shit shit shit!
Severing the Smoker's tongue from Luigi with a few bullets, Rae dragged him onto his feet. "Get Dahlia, I'll hold the horde off!"
She spun around quickly and began firing, spilling waves of scarlet and chunks of skin and limbs. One infected managed to rake it's filthy fingers down her forehead, but Rae blew it's head off in a matter of seconds.
Rae knew she couldn't keep them all at bay for long. And it was only a matter of moments until they would overcome her completely.

"Get Dahlia!" Rae's words rang in Luigi's ears. He was still getting over his shock when the smoker grabbed him. Shaking his head and getting back on task, he raced over towards the little girl and picked her up. He glanced over to see the charger, or rather Dahlia's uncle fending off aganst 5 hunters. The teen would've gone over to help, but getting Dahlia away was his top priority at the moment.
~*~*~*~*
"Dylan," the black-haired hunter simply told the charger. He nodded to each of his companions as he named them. "This is Akiko, Brock, Chris, Hunter, and Tiney."
He perked up before the overall-wearing infected could respond. Sounds of fighting raked the air and he wasted no time in going off to find it, followed by his companions. When they reached the area, three survivors were seen battling against a rather big horde. Nearby a charger was struggling with five hunters. At a simple nod from Dylan, Brock and Tiney charged over.
With a swing of his fists, Brock made two of the hunters fly back while Tiney vomited all over another one. A growl came from it as it was forced to retreat when common infected surrounded it to get a taste of the bile. The last hunter was pounced on by Hunter. Akiko had spotted a smoker and raced over, slicing the special infected with its claws. Dylan and Chris were ushering the survivors to safety.

Another screech escaped her throat when the boy was freed, who grabbed her child and fled to the other girl. Which wouldn't have been much of a problem if they hadn't interfered.
Her lesser Hunters being slaughtered and Cory covered in bile, plus a Witch rushing straight for her... Wait. A Witch was rushing straight for her.
Before se could react, the claws her slashed across the She-Smoker, leaving bloody slash marks. Not wanting to be ended here, she quickly lassod the Witch's feet, tripping her and sending the interloper to the ground.
Emitting another screech to signal her more intelligent infected to fall back, the Smoker cast a hateful glare at the others before dashing into the alleys, vanishing. Cory and Jewels were not far behind, the Hunter still wiping away bits of bile.
---------- Norman was just having a merry little time getting clawed apart by a bunch of hooded punks. Really spoke well about him. But when the Tank (With surprising accuracy) knocked several of them off and the Boomer (Who he swore smelled like cake) puked on another, he was torn between thanking them, or nursing his wounded ego. He chose the thanking, no sense pissing off a Tank.
"Shit... Thanks.". Norman nodded, turning his head so his still intact eye could see the two infected. ---------- Dahlia was still in a state of fear-induced shock, being attacked by her mommy again. So she very numbly followed Luigi and Rae, keeping a tight grip on both as they fled the chaos.
As they finally came to a stop, Dahlia released her grip on the teens, sinking to the ground and hugging her legs, eyes wide and body trembling.

Spector followed the group of special infected to a battle presisting 5 hunters attacking a charger and a smoker entangling a group of humans. The former gardener was confused why the hunters were attacking the charger. Maybe it was a territorial/ hunting deal. But then things got stranger when the infected group he just met started to help the humans by attacking the femsmoker. Why were the special infected helping the humans? Could they even change sides? Spector couldn't understand what was going on.

Frowning, Luigi knelt down besides Dahlia and pulled the frightened child into an embrace.
"It's okay, sweetie." he murmured, trying to reassure her. "Everything's alright now. I promise." The teen raised his head to stare at the black-haired hunter. "Thanks."
Dylan shrugged nonchalantly. "We're used to it."
The group turned their heads as Akiko, Brock, Hunter, and Tiney came up to join them. Akiko was grumbling something along the lines of 'If that smoker bitch thinks its going to get away tripping me then it must be mistaken.' while Brock and Tiney nodded towards a charger. The witch's demonic eyes gazed at Dahlia for a minute before softening.
"Is she going to be okay?"
Luigi nodded uneasily. "I think so. She's just scared." he answered.
Chris scratched the back of his head. "Who the hell thought it was a good idea to leave a little girl in the middle of this shit?!" he asked, more curious than insulting.
Dylan turned and began walking off. "We can catch up later," he announced. "It's not safe yet."
Glancing at Rae, Luigi scooped Dahlia up into his arms again and followed after his twin. The other special infected bringing up guarding the rear.

Dahlia didn't react to Luigi picking her up, or the Witch's questioning. She merely continued to shake, eyes wide and lips quivering.
"Who the hell thought it was a good idea to leave a little girl in the middle of this shit?!"
Until she saw Chris.
Upon hearing the wheezy voice, her breathing quickened, her heart pounding. Glancing around wildly, her frightened gaze stopped on Chris.
"N-n-no! No no nonononono!" She shreiked, struggling wildly. Unfortunatly, she had forgotten about the fact that falling is rather painful, especially when you smack your head on the ground. But her fear overrode her pain, and, clutching her head, fled.
"Dahlia!" Norman called after her, heavy footfalls echoing as the Charger followed after her.
The child didn't stop, however, finally wedging herself in a small crevice between two buildings. Too big for anything bigger than a small child (like herself). Fear reaching a peak, she began crying softly, not hearing her Uncle trying to coax her out.
